How to get to Hallstatt
Hallstatt, a small village in Upper Austria can be reached by car and train. For arrival by plane or international train
we recommend via Salzburg.

Travelling by plane
It is possible to arrive via Vienna, Salzburg or Munich airport and then go by train to Hallstatt.
Please use airport Salzburg. You can go by bus from the airport to the Salzburg Main station (Hauptbahnhof).
Select Bus line No. 2 (between 5:30 and 22:30, interval 10 minutes; ticket price ca. 2.50€).
From Main station go by train to Hallstatt (for those arriving there until 4 p.m.),
late-comers please take the bus to Bad Ischl Bus from Salzburg Main station to Bad Ischl
